I just returned form participating in the Father/Son division of the MSBL World Series in Phoenix.  What an outstanding experience.  Sharing the field with sons and nephews is something none of us will forget.  We played in the American Division and the competition was very stiff.  Lots of talented fathers and sons.  Our first game was against a team that eventually made it to the championship game.  We beat them 2-1 in a very well played game.  A great start for our first time in this bracket.  We lost the next two and then pulled off a must win victory to make the playoffs.  The playoff game did not go our way losing 9-4 which ended our tournament.  Along the way we had some excellent offense and defense with some errors and base running mmiscues sprinkled in.  I think everyone enjoyed the experience.  We learned a lot along the way and will have a better idea of how things work next year.  The father/son is a wood bat division which fit very nicely into my wood bat business. Most members of the team already use my bats and I brought along some extras as well.  They held up extrememly well.  One bat did break but it was literally 6 years old at that point.
I would highly recommend putting a father/son team together.  it was a blast.
