There are so many choices when it comes to buying a wood bat. I decided on the niche in the market that suited my company best, and have never wavered from that philosophy. Absolutely top of the line quality, at a fair price, coupled with unmatched one on one customer service from a player. Let’s talk about quality and performance. It is not an easy task to make a great bat. You need skilled craftsman who understand all the nuances that go into bat design and manufacturing. In my opinion we have the best crew in the business. They are long time wood workers who have manufactured wood products for most of their adult lives. The understand shapes, grades, and most importantly grain. A small defect can destroy a bat on the first swing. Our guys are experts and take great pride in their work. Equally important when it comes to quality is consistency. The ability to make a great bat each and every time. This is what separates bat manufacturers.
In my opinion big bat companies fall short in this area. They are mass producing bats at an incredible rate with huge overhead and advertising expenses. It gets very expensive to throw out large quantities of lumber because they are not perfect. Very expensive. Many small companies run into the same dilemma. Not so much with huge overheads and advertising expenses, but certainly we all struggle with discarding expensive lumber.
If you have played enough baseball it only takes a hit or two to tell the difference between a quality bat and a second hand bat. I promise you that you positively get what you pay for in this business.
We find other uses for lumber that doesn’t make the grade. Award bats and the like. Every single bat we produce is professional quality. We take it a step farther and guarantee our weights to within ½ ounce. This would not be possible if we used all of our lumber rather than being so selective.
Customer service? I challenge you to find better customer service. I personally handle each and every transaction. It is my business, and I take tremendous pride in being the best. I field test every bat in the cage and on the field. My fifty years of playing experience make a wealth of information available to my customers. I take the time to interact with all of my customers whenever the need arises. Baseball is my passion, and there is nothing I enjoy more than helping people share that passion.
Yours in Baseball.
